I really was unsure of this when I ordered it. I hoped it would work but holding the weight of a slightly heavy laptop and doing so in a stable manner for long periods of time is potentially a big task. I was concerned about the bouncy potential and didn't want to have that be a problem. It works GREAT! Yes, there was a bouncy movement to it when you didn't touch anything but the keys, but I founnd the most comfortable position for me was with my elbows resting on chair arms and my pisiforms (outer palms near the wrist) just touching the keyboard on either side of the touchpad. When I lightly rested my hands there I could type without any appreciable bounce and what tiny bit I got actually aided typing quickly. The middle knuckle is adjustable for the weight of just about any laptop. I have an HP 17" and it doesn't seem to even know it's there as far as weight goes. I live on a boat and I have the arm mounted on a small table next to me next to my lazyboy recliner. No I don't think it would work very well long term with the chair in a reclined position but for a short time it would be much better than a computer on your belly or chest. When I put it together and tested it the first time the cords were an issue. Once I ran the cords through the cord holder I never even thought about them again. I liked it so much I got one for my wife and she loves it. To get up we just push it out awaqy from us and can get up with no interference from the computer. Once you get the position just right it stays at that angle perfectly and other than swinging it out and back I find I do no other adjustments. It took me a couple days of fooling with minor adjustments until I got it just right. When the boat rocks it doesn't move either, unless I want it to. I don't know how they can make this for the price they sell it for.. Anonymous. Mon Dec 22 2025

This is a great monitor arm. Easy to set up, very stable and sturdy, and it provides a ton of vertical adjustment. Setting the arm tension is a breeze, too. It had no trouble with my 32" monitor. It is a beast. Rock solid. I previously purchased the "Hinson Height Adjustable Universal Desk Mount by Symple Stuff", SKU: W001135193. I cannot put a review on it, because I returned it, however the Hinson product is definitely a decent monitor arm. It simply did not have the degree of height adjustment that I required. But in comparison to this Vivo model being reviewed, it was maybe not as good for a larger monitor. So if you need a lot of height adjustment and/or you have larger monitors, I strongly recommend this Vivo arm model. James. Scituate, MA. Mon Sep 13 2021

I bought two because I read the double monitor ones don’t always allow you to get both monitors side by side without a gap. I mounted them on 16” center studs, skipping between them and I have 17” curved Samsung monitors. I think this is an awesome product that is reasonably price. Shipping was quick as well. My only minor gripe is that it doesn’t come with a pole for pole mounting, nor did I see where I could buy one and how much. I planned on wall mounting anyway so nbd, but if you’re going to advertise it as both ways…at the very least there should be a link on the page of this product pointing you to where you can order the poles.. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are reasonably nice monitor arms. I like the range of motion. There was minimal installation, although I recommend having two people. I had no problems using them with my Samsung monitor and my husbands Asus monitors. Because these are more weighted, they are pretty durable in comparison to other arms I've used in the past. The only issue might be because these are bulky, it can take up a lot of space with a small desk. Be cautious if you use them with a desk that has a shelf attached or other storage solutions.. I purchased two mounts for 27” monitors to compliment my 27” iMac. The mounts are stylish and hold the monitors well. However, I only gave them four stars, because it is a two person job to adjust and position the mounts to ensure they don’t drop and hit the desk. Mount your screen up to 32" in size in either portrait or landscape. The intuitive 25.7" x 9.5" keyboard tray underneath comes with a padded wrist rest to relieve additional stress on your wrists. Cable management system hides unwanted cables and wires from sight. The pneumatic counterbalance gas springs allows your monitor to tilt 35°, swivel 180°, and rotate 360° so you can find the best viewing angles. Clamp or grommet onto your work desk.

I'm reviewing so I can perhaps help others who had the same issue I did and they will be able to still use the item. The instructions are only photos. It should include in the directions to make sure the tiny screws in piece B (the clamp), are Allen wrenched out of the threaded opening before inserting the pole. Then use the Allen wrench to tighten them to the pole or the pole won't be inserted properly. I also couldn't use the key board tray as I would like it to go flat on the desk but the design doesn't allow that. I'm using a laptop stand instead for the keyboard. I'm also placing the tray from Mount-it on top so I can use my mouse too while standing. I just set it up yesterday, so I hope the monitor stays in place on the pole. It feels like it could use something else to hold it in place. This is the only sit stand monitor are that is long enough for me to comfortably attach my 27" monitor so, I hope it continues to perform well. One more note, make sure your desk is solid wood, not a honeycomb filled board or the pressure will be too great for the arm and monitor. I had to get a solid wood desk top for this to be stable.. Perfect for my setup. I mounted my work monitors (Lenovo brand that has a mini pc dock built in so it is much heavier than a normal monitor). I have never had an issue with it. It is nice and tall enough to rise above 32" monitors beneath it. When I no longer need my work monitors, I can push both of them back and lift my gaming monitors to eye level and, man it is a breeze. Can't imagine living and working without this now! Been over a year. zero issues!. Anonymous. Thu Mar 09 2023
