This is a great monitor arm. Easy to set up, very stable and sturdy, and it provides a ton of vertical adjustment. Setting the arm tension is a breeze, too. It had no trouble with my 32" monitor. It is a beast. Rock solid. I previously purchased the "Hinson Height Adjustable Universal Desk Mount by Symple Stuff", SKU: W001135193. I cannot put a review on it, because I returned it, however the Hinson product is definitely a decent monitor arm. It simply did not have the degree of height adjustment that I required. But in comparison to this Vivo model being reviewed, it was maybe not as good for a larger monitor. Perfect for my setup. I mounted my work monitors (Lenovo brand that has a mini pc dock built in so it is much heavier than a normal monitor). I have never had an issue with it. It is nice and tall enough to rise above 32" monitors beneath it. I bought two because I read the double monitor ones don’t always allow you to get both monitors side by side without a gap. I mounted them on 16” center studs, skipping between them and I have 17” curved Samsung monitors. I think this is an awesome product that is reasonably price. Shipping was quick as well. My only minor gripe is that it doesn’t come with a pole for pole mounting, nor did I see where I could buy one and how much. I planned on wall mounting anyway so nbd, but if you’re going to advertise it as both ways…at the very least there should be a link on the page of this product pointing you to where you can order the poles.. I really was unsure of this when I ordered it. I hoped it would work but holding the weight of a slightly heavy laptop and doing so in a stable manner for long periods of time is potentially a big task. I was concerned about the bouncy potential and didn't want to have that be a problem. It works GREAT! Yes, there was a bouncy movement to it when you didn't touch anything but the keys, but I founnd the most comfortable position for me was with my elbows resting on chair arms and my pisiforms (outer palms near the wrist) just touching the keyboard on either side of the touchpad. When I lightly rested my hands there I could type without any appreciable bounce and what tiny bit I got actually aided typing quickly. The middle knuckle is adjustable for the weight of just about any laptop. I have an HP 17" and it doesn't seem to even know it's there as far as weight goes. I live on a boat and I have the arm mounted on a small table next to me next to my lazyboy recliner. No I don't think it would work very well long term with the chair in a reclined position but for a short time it would be much better than a computer on your belly or chest. When I put it together and tested it the first time the cords were an issue. Once I ran the cords through the cord holder I never even thought about them again. I liked it so much I got one for my wife and she loves it. To get up we just push it out awaqy from us and can get up with no interference from the computer. Once you get the position just right it stays at that angle perfectly and other than swinging it out and back I find I do no other adjustments. It took me a couple days of fooling with minor adjustments until I got it just right. When the boat rocks it doesn't move either, unless I want it to. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are reasonably nice monitor arms. I like the range of motion. There was minimal installation, although I recommend having two people. I had no problems using them with my Samsung monitor and my husbands Asus monitors. Because these are more weighted, they are pretty durable in comparison to other arms I've used in the past. The only issue might be because these are bulky, it can take up a lot of space with a small desk. Be cautious if you use them with a desk that has a shelf attached or other storage solutions..
