It’s what I expected! I bought in 2 different colors. I do not care about the wrinkles in it my kids are young and don’t care. It is very light weight and fluffy that’s all my kids wanted. I did wash them first before I put them on. There wasn’t a smell but you should always wash bedding before laying in it. It's I'd give this comforter 4.5 out of 5 stars. The only reason it doesn't get a full five is that it's a bit stiffer than I anticipated, but that's to be expected with a tightly woven allergen-barrier fabric. Since I use a duvet cover anyway, it isn't a dealbreaker. It also feels a little warmer than I expected, so if you're a very hot sleeper, you may want to keep that in mind. That said, I specifically wanted an all-season comforter, and it strikes a good balance between warmth and comfort. The biggest surprise was the value.
