A soft and breathable fabric that is 100 cotton. Lovely to sleep under and rest your head on. The print is beautiful, I am unsure if it is navy blue or black, different lighting gives me a different tone but I like both. A design that I have never seen is a cover over the button holes, as shown in the picture. That adds quality to this set. The print is timeless and classic. I purchased the set in the black and cream toile pattern. The comforter is not thick and the fabric is lighter weight than high end 3 piece sets, but the price point is reasonable. The shams are zippered, seamed, and hemmed in a very simple pillow case style.
