The top and backing are both 100% soft, brushed polyester. It is filled with 100% poly-fill. Machine washable for easy cleaning.

While I love the design and quality, like others I was disappointed that the shams that come with the king comforter are not king shams.. they are standard. So I did find a solution. The pillowcases fit standard size pillows and the queen sized quilt is the perfect size for my queen size bed. The design is super cute to use all winter long for a refreshed look for the season. I was concerned that it wouldn’t feel good, at least on the pillow cases, but this material is actually really comfortable and almost a little silky. Bought this a while back. Still using it in my beach house. Pretty and soft. Love it! Update: loved this until . . . I have used this as a decorative addition to a white quilt. Never really used except to put back on bed when making it up. I just washed pillow shams for the first time. OMG! What a mess. Most of the batting on the inside came out while in the washer. I had washed it with a set of king sheets. They were covered and I was covered with the batting as I took them out of the washer. I did not put them in the dryer. It took two drying cycles to get that stuff off of my sheets. I cleaned the lint filter three times! I won’t be washing the quilt. I hope to figure how I can still use the shams without the rest of the batting falling out. I am way past the 30-day return and I am not asking for anything. The design and look of it is very appealing to the eye and makes for a great decorative cover on the bed. I would personally like comforters with a little more thickness (even though I’m in Texas) and maybe with a little more use it will get a little less stiff but it’s sturdy. It fits absolutely perfect on our Queen size bed so the measurements are great.
