I was searching for a substantial duvet cover like you see on beds in furniture stores. This was close but not quite there. First off, I ordered white because I have bright white linen curtains. The duvet is not white as pictured…more of a cool white with tan undertones. However the reverse side is bright white and made of a sateen fabric. The difference in whites are obvious when you pull the bottom side over the top side of the duvet cover. I went with a tri-fold so the underside wouldn’t show. Secondly, the fabrics they used on the pillows were gorgeous. I so wish the duvet cover had been made of the fabric used in the Euro Pillows. Then, I would have loved the look and felt better about the price. The king pillow sham was the thin linen fabric used in the duvet. I could actually see the pillow stripes through it. I chose not to use them. I was glad the insert for the duvet was a true CA king size. It’s nice that they used 8 buttons to keep the insert attached to the duvet and not move around. I also liked that the duvet and matching king shams had zippers. You will need to purchase Euro inserts and king bed pillows for the shams if you use them.
