Really love this quilt. The colors were a bit darker than I expected with a lot of red but very pretty and great for the price. It is very lightweight which I like but if you are expecting a heavy quilt you may be disappointed. The batting is very thin. I have not washed it but the stitching is very close together which should keep the batting from shifting. Living in central Texas makes for hot nights. This bedspread is perfect for this climate. It is lightweight, yet heavy enough to keep you warm on cool nights. Being 100 cotton makes it ideal if you sleep hot. It doesn’t trap bodyheat like polyester does. I recommend washing it before putting it on the bed. It has a LOT of lintfuzz from the embroidery. Nice quilt but when I put it in the dryer to fluff as directed, the pillow shams frayed badly. Luckily I didn’t plan to use them, but if I had I’d be really disappointed.
