Very soft. I did wash at unboxing because wood shipping smells but it wasn’t too bad. I used heat although I don’t think you are supposed to but still very warm and fluffy. Would definitely recommend if you want a luxury feel. Justin. Tue Oct 20 2026

The cotton shell is so soft and quiet. Downfall is soft and luxurious, made up of tiny, fluffy clusters. This comforter is fairly lightweight, but you'll find this duvet contains more fill. This is because the higher the loft of the down, the better the insulating properties, and the less of it we need to achieve the desired warmth level!

Perfect mid-weight feather comforter! The fabric is nice and soft, and it’s great to have the corner ties to keep the duvet cover in place. Great price for a high-quality comforter.. Erin. Waterbury, VT. Mon Nov 17 2025

A naturally lightweight and lofty layer designed for year-round comfort. Pure, responsibly sourced down is encased in a down-proof, 100% organic cotton shell. Stitch-through box construction keeps the 600-fill-power down evenly distributed. All Coyuchi down duvet inserts are made in the USA. The double-washed down is sourced from an Indiana duck farm where the birds are humanely raised, the down is carefully processed, and the quality is controlled from start to finish. We recommend this insert on its own for spring through fall, then layered with a blanket in winter for excellent temperature control.

This duvet is perfect. The loft is generous and evenly distributed. The down is very high quality and the cotton cover feels luxurious, even without a cover. I highly recommend this down duvet.. Anne I.. NL. Sun Nov 19 2023

In our case the perfect addition. Crispy and light for a four season location. Slips into the duvet easily. Shannon. Murfreesboro, TN. Sun Aug 24 2025

Clean, lofty down is at the heart of the Down Duvet Insert. The down undergoes Hypo-cycle, a thorough cleaning process that removes dust and organic residue before the clusters are filled to a lofty 650 fill power. A 230 thread count cotton cambric shell provides a lightweight, tightly woven enclosure for the fill, while baffle box construction gives each chamber room to expand and helps maintain even distribution for consistent loft throughout the night. Double-stitched edges with braided piping reinforce the perimeter with a polished, tailored finish, while corner loops secure the duvet cover and help keep the insert comfortably in place.

Happy with duvet, handy that it ties into place in cover. Candice. LA. Tue Aug 28 2018
