I like these sheets a lot. I was skeptical when they were delivered and when I opened them. They felt quite scratchy. I was washed them and that did help. I was expecting them to be super soft, that is the way they were described. When I wash them in Downy they will be perfect. Even so they are very lovely sheets. These are very lightweight and dry quickly in the dryer but on the bed, they seem warmer than the heavier sheets we had. The percale cotton sheets and duvet covers are woven using extra fine long staple yarns. They weave their 300-thread count percale fabric by laying one warp thread over one weft thread in a 1:1 ratio. This tighter percale weave produces a more durable fabric that is superior to sateen weaves. Percale never pills and stays smooth. Though thread count is important, how the fabric is woven is more important when it comes to how the sheets feel. Crisp and cool to the touch with a matte finish, the percale cottons are one of the best investments you can make in bedding.

This is incredibly soft and has a nice, tight weave. I have previously owned a cheap (less than 10) pure polyester pillowcase and while there’s not a significant visual difference, there is a noticeable texture difference. They have weight to them — they’re only a tiny bit see through when you hold them up to the light, vs the last set of white sheets I had that were basically transparent — but they don’t trap heat in the summer like some sheets do. The fitted sheet was deep enough and they held up without pilling in the wash, at least so far. I think they feel like they’re durable enough to last a long time. As you can see from my picture, they do wrinkle up pretty easily but I always have a comforter over my sheets, so it doesn’t really matter to me. It gets one star knocked off because when I first opened these up, they stunk horribly; it was weird vinegary like smell, but thankfully one wash got rid of it.
