This mattress is exactly what I needed! I moved into a furnished apartment with a very soft mattress. One night on this firm mattress and my back already feels so much better. I slept like a rock. It was packaged very well, and it was easy to open. It was much heavier than I was expecting (who knew mattresses were heavy?) so keep in mind you might need some help. The instructions say to give it 24-72 hours to be fully expanded, but I slept on it a few hours after I opened it, and it was still great.. Samantha. Usaf Academy, CO. Sun Sep 20 2026

I was reluctant to purchase a mattress online because I've always tested out options in store. The reviews were very helpful but ultimately what convinced me was the double sided use. I do prefer the softer white side of the mattress and can see the benefit of switching to the firmer side after years of use. After a week on the mattress I am SO glad I made the purchase. Overall the mattress isn't bad. Right now we are using the softer side but it's still pretty firm. It's supposed to be so that you can't feel your partner move but that's not the case at all. We went from full memory foam to this and we can feel every time the other person moves at all. My partner likes it but I'm not crazy about it and preferred full memory foam.. E.. Virginia. Memory foam infused with activated charcoal, or ebonite memory foam, provides the benefits of traditional memory foam, such as pressure relief and conformance. But it also has more! When charcoal is infused, it forms a finer, more open-cell memory foam, providing a velvety feel and higher airflow, which means it is cooler. Activated charcoal also provides superior thermal absorption. The combination of higher airflow and heat absorption provides better overall temperature management. Charcoal is also a natural odor and bacteria eliminator. Simply put, activated charcoal keeps your mattress clean and fresh. It allows for greatly increased airflow and has excellent cooling benefits. Our bed is covered in a wonderfully soft, almost like a sweatshirt, heathered gray knit fabric. The stretchy knit enables you to feel the full effect of the activated charcoal. And it looks pretty cool too!

The Avenco Medium Hybrid Mattress—offering you luxurious comfort at a more-than-reasonable price. This next-level hybrid design features cooling gel memory foam to keep you cool as you sleep, while its cool-to-touch top fabric offers a refreshing surface to rest on. Its durable springs bring a winning combination of medium-firm support and soft, sink-in comfort to provide a premium sleep experience. Expertly designed, this adult mattress features edge support for a sturdy mattress surface and added support (with no box spring needed). Individually wrapped coils to minimize motion transfer to help you stay soundly asleep throughout the night.

I purchased this mattress for a teen bedroom, and overall it has been a solid choice. It arrived compressed, expanded well after opening, and was ready to use fairly quickly, which made setup easy. The medium feel is a nice balance between comfort and support. It has enough softness on top to feel comfortable, while still being supportive enough for everyday sleep. The hybrid construction also gives it a more substantial feel than I expected for the price. I also like that it sleeps fairly temperature-neutral. The cooling gel layer seems to help, especially compared to traditional memory foam mattresses that can trap heat. The reason I gave it 4 stars is that it was a little firmer than I initially expected, so it may take some time to break in depending on your preference. It’s still comfortable, just not as plush as some buyers might assume. Overall, I think this is a great value if you’re looking for an affordable, supportive mattress that is easy to set up and works well for a guest room, teen room, or everyday use.. Jas H. Los Angeles, CA. Thu Apr 23 2026
