After taking it out of the bag and giving it a light steam the quilt top looked quite nice. The color also was pretty true to listing’s photo. The textured pattern on top was a little more pronounced than on the website but we liked that look. The small decorative pillows weren’t great quality. Anonymous. Wed Oct 14 2026

Such a pretty bread spread! If you want it to go over the edge of your bed I would recommend going up a size. This is a nice duvet set. I like that it has a zipper and two shams and it is a rather neutral color. I thought it would be a little less shiny, but it’s not bad. It does look a little cheaper than I thought it would based on the photo, but I’m not unhappy with it. We’ll have to see how it looks in different lighting, but so far it just seems. Katherine. I personally dont love it, but my wife does. She is very excited as it is giving a martha may vibe for the upcoming holidays. I find it to be too shiny and reflects too much light. Hugh is a classic matelassé constructed of mercerized cotton for a sleek appearance and hand feel. The all-over stippling design provides subtle interest, and the coverlet is finished with scalloped edge rounded front corners. Matelasse (mat-la-SAY) is a weaving or stitching technique yielding a pattern that appears quilted or padded. Matelass may be achieved by hand, on a jacquard loom, or a quilting machine. It is meant to mimic the style of hand-stitched quilts made in Marseilles, France. It is a heavy, thick textile that appears to be padded, but actually has no padding within the fabric. Our Hugh Matelasse has a soft, pebble-like texture.
