Soft and firm at the same time. I got this for my daughter to go with her new twin canopy bed (still being assembled). Its firm enough to offer back and body support, yet the top part is a pillow top-- like people often add on for the softness, but this one is just part of the mattress. I was skeptical but it’s great quality and SO comfortable! I first bought one for my younger son a few months ago and just bought this one for his older sibling. It’s comfier than my expensive mattress! The first order from a few months ago said to let it fully firm up for 24hrs or more but when I got this one it said it only needs 60 seconds. I would say it’s true that it puffs up to almost full size within seconds but I recommend letting it fully expand for 2-3 hours before laying on it just in case.. Chrisy. Pennsylvania. Therefore, I will likely wait another 24 hours before placing it on the bed to ensure it has reached its maximum fullness.
