I was on the fence about this protector before receiving. I have always used a mattress pad, but with my new mattress I was sleeping consistently hotter than usual. So I researched my mattress brand and got same answers. I found the Tempur Breeze protector to be the most mentioned. Yes the price did scare me I had just spent quite a bit on the mattress and now another 300. Well I did it and do not regret one minute. I sleep cooler and more comfortable. And yes it is water proof I tested it to see. Wayfair had the best price overall plus I had a little reward from where I had purchased something else a while back so that made the sting a little easier and if you need the 6 months to pay then that’s no brainer.. This is a really nice waterproof mattress pad! It is not plasticky feeling and it doesnt sound like swishy when you sit on it or move around on the bed. Works like a charm! To be honest, I did not really need a waterproof mattress protector just more so a cover for our mattress. So when opening and noticing the waterproof lining underneath, I was nervous it might have some “noise” to it… but to my surprise once it was on, you couldn’t even notice a difference!
