It’s basically a nice topper for firming up a foam mattress, or adding a hypoallergenic layer overtop something that’s not rated as being very “green”. We first tried this over a firm latex pad, and it did not add much noticeable improvement in thickness or softness. Next, we tried this down pad over a 2 inch thick foam pad, and it made all the difference! I am not at all a fan of foam pads. However, using this topper over the foam pad makes the foam less susceptible to sinking! Love it! The Cloud mattress pad was aptly named and did not disappoint. It is a well-made quality product, is very soft to the touch, and it easily stretched over a 14 & ½ inch queen mattress with ease.
