This set of two queen-size pillows came rolled and vaccuum-packed, then sealed in plastic, then placed in a mailing envelope. As such, there’s a fish-like smell to the pillows. Make sure to follow the instructions of airing them out or better yet, drying them in the dryer (if you have a big-enough dryer). The “drying” can also fluff them up some more. I needed a wedge pillow due to acid reflux issues. This pillow turned out to be my saving grace. Its more comfortable than I ever expected. Along with this pillow and some other changes, Im no longer suffering through reflux while trying to sleep. I just lay my queen-size pillow on top when sleeping (side sleeper). My husband & I have been sleeping on them for about 2 weeks . They are more firm then I'm used to but I'm adjusting to it. Our old pillows were probably past their time and too soft. I bought this latex pillow to replace my OMNIA pillow which was killing my neck and making me miserable. This Coyuchi latex pillow has been amazing! Slept on it all night the first time (no need to ease into it). It's bouncy (like pudding) but it still has neck support.
