Very soft and plush. It did well in my washing machine. Aside from one part that looked like it got burnt or something.. but when I put some Shout stain remover it seemed to get rid of the burnt stuff.. but anyway so far I love this comforter. Exactly what I was looking for. After going through a number of familiar stores looking for a French quilt and not finding really any. The Chezmoi collection had a few I really liked.
