It probably would have been ready around 24 hours, but we followed the directions and let it sit the full 72. It also had no smell, which was a plus. This mattress is exactly what I needed! I moved into a furnished apartment with a very soft mattress. One night on this firm mattress and my back already feels so much better. I slept like a rock. It was packaged very well, and it was easy to open. It was much heavier than I was expecting (who knew mattresses were heavy?) so keep in mind you might need some help. Oh I am in love with my new mattress. I haven’t wanted to get out of bed. This is truly a memory foam bed, like seriously when you lay on it, it really forms to your body.
