This mattress has truly been a great lifesaver for our back pain. My husband has a herniated disc and requires a very firm mattress. This did take a full 48 hours to completely get to its firmness, so don’t be discouraged after it compresses on the first day. He reports that his back pain has improved greatly, and I would strongly suggest this bed for those experiencing spinal issues. I am also sleeping with my baby and follow the safe seven sleep method which requires a very firm mattress. This mattress falls into the guidelines for safe co sleeping, and I’m ecstatic to find one in a great price point. We highly recommend this mattress. Updated review. I unfortunately have to remove one star as as I was waiting for the bed to expand. I realize that it was not expanding lengthwise. There are about 3 to 4 inches missing off the top and or bottom of the mattress. I purchased my bedframe off of Wayfair and the measurements are for 18 size bed. I have had spinal surgery and need a firm mattress to support my back. The mattress would probably be great for many people, but I would not call this firm despite being labeled as such. 10” thick mattresses of good quality are hard to find especially in local stores. Serta came through on this one. Definitely not too soft. May add a topper later. Wanted a 10” to keep the height down since our platform bed is already 16” high and we really don’t care for high beds. And it’s light enough that we can rotate it ourselves.. Anonymous.
