I did a "remote control" design consultation on the phone for my elderly mother who lives in another State. She had painted her walls a pale green, but had white bedding. She complained that it looked like something was missing. I knew that the real issue was that there was not enough contrast, so I asked her to trust me with the color. She lives in another State, and I know what her taste is. In lieu of painting the walls again, I decided to get a darker green for contrast. It worked. I knew it would.
