It brightens your spirits in the morning to wake up to the sheep and the 100% safe cotton is refreshing. The sheets are a 400 thread count, 100% cotton with a sateen finish. I think that because the sheets were 100% cotton, they may have felt less silky, and caused me to sleep a little warmer than I would of slept on a combination material sheet? This is why I rated them 4 stars rather than 5. They have deep pockets, fit well & stayed in place on my 15" mattress. I washed the sheets before using them and they were wrinkly out of the dryer, this did not matter to me, after I put them on the mattress, most of the wrinkles disappeared. I like these sheets a lot. I was skeptical when they were delivered and when I opened them. They felt quite scratchy. I was washed them and that did help. I was expecting them to be super soft, that is the way they were described. When I wash them in Downy they will be perfect. Even so they are very lovely sheets. These sheets feel pretty durable. The pocket fits my 24" hybrid mattress, in fact, the elastic goes all the way 'round and underneath it. The lack of softness, and wrinkling earns a -1 star.
