Our new Avenco gel memory foam mattress is very good for our 9 year old son’s bed. We ordered a queen to replace his older one, which was way too firm. This new one is just firm enough, but you still sink into the foam a bit. When I lay down on it, I wake up much less sore, because the other one actually hurt my back. Ok, the biggest issue right now is the smell. We are still trying to get that to go away. The directions said to strip the bedding during the day and put a fan in the direction of the bed with a window open. It’s only been four days since we opened it up, so we are crossing our fingers that the smell subsides. Thus, the reason for the 4 stars. For comfort, it definitely deserves 5 stars.. Maureen. Conveniently compressed and shipped in a box for easy setup, it is available in 10-inch (Queen, King) and 12-inch ( Queen, King) options to fit any bed frame and bedroom style.

I got this in a queen size. It took about 24 hours to fully poof to what it actually is size wise. It’s a solid medium on the scale between soft and firm. It gives support without sinking in deep. I got the 12” depth and it’s perfect for our needs. Any smaller and it may feel more firm than medium. Be careful when opening as it can unroll incredibly fast.. Jacquelyn. Plymouth, IN.
