The majority of the fill (about 90% of the total fill weight) is the goose feather, which is in the center chamber. The feather core provides great, resilient support due to the feather quills. This plush, soft pillow is made with microfiber fill, a high quality polyester designed to mimic the properties of down. Microfiber traps less air than down and is a tad denser, so it does provide a bit more support than natural down. One benefit of a synthetic pillow is that it can be machine washed at home, given your machine is quite large and you wash/dry on a low heat setting. First, let me begin this review by speaking about the presentation of this product upon opening. I was quite impressed and can't say I have ever seen this before with pillows. The company was quite thoughtful. I felt like I was unwrapping a gift with tissue paper and a sticker. Next, I was met with a card including pictures and step-by-step instructions on fluffing the pillows following transportation. There was also a scented tag enclosed in the box. Thirdly, there was a dark blue envelope with the Brand's story and an After Sales Card. WOW!!! I followed the instructions and was able to see my pillows come to life.
