Basics 1.5" Gel Reversible Memory Foam Topper

The memory foam mattress topper feels more like egg crate material than the other gel foam mattress pad we have had, but it does add a slight layer of comfort to the mattress. Since it is only an inch and a 1/2 thick, it doesn’t add a lot of softness or support, but it does help a little. We have a very nice memory foam mattress, but it is just a little too firm for us when we sleep on our sides (shoulders and hips end up hurting), so we needed this to help soften it up. We can’t get a thicker one because even the deep pocket sheets wouldn’t fit our mattress if we did. If you have a terribly uncomfortable mattress that isn’t thick, I would opt for a thicker mattress topper. If you are like us and can’t really add that much height, this does help some.

We needed a mattress stopper because our old one was falling apart. I was nervous about getting one that was only 1 1/2 inches thick, but we were pleasantly surprised at the level of comfort and support it offered. We did not wait to use it. We unrolled it and put it on.

I am on the fence about this - it's a good price, and it's comfortable, but it's a full 6" off in width (see pictures I have included where it is flush to the other edge). The product dimensions state the queen should be 59" wide (and the pictures show it going up to the edges on all 4 sides), but mine is about 53" wide. I thought perhaps I received a full that's mislabeled, but it longer than a full should be. I am thinking of exchanging to see if the one I received was just off. As for comfort, I think I expected more wow factor based on the reviews... it's not bad, just okay.
