My husband and I spent 45 mins shoving the largest piece into the bottom. We rolled on the floor, literally. Sat on it, laid across it. One stuffed while one zipped. Finally we made it fit, all the while rereading the instructions. We got the sides and back in, only the realize we screwed up!! It took less time to unstuck it and do over correctly. I must say the quality of the seems, zippers and material to withstand what we put it through without ripping is astonishing. Of course my one dog after being afraid of ot thought it was for her. The number of beans you need will depend on the size of your chair and how flat it is: small chairs may need 1-2 bags, while giant chairs may require more. For child safety and durability reasons, all big Joe bean-filled chairs have two zippers with their pulls intentionally removed before shipment. To open your big Joe, place a paperclip into the first zipper head, pull to open, and then repeat on the second zipper.
