I bought this to replace a 30-year old GE model. We like the convection features. We also like the fact that this has two convection ovens - the upper microwave oven is also a true convection/bake/conventional oven, albeit smaller in size. I think the microwave and conventional heating elements are independent. So for upper oven in convection/bake mode, it uses the conventional heating elements and you can put in metal rack and utensils. In microwave mode, you should not use any metal things inside. Control panel using dial saved a lot of space and makes room for cooking space (compared with the old model). Most cooking options have easy access. The unit comes with a plug-in meat temperature sensor so you can precisely control cooking in Probe mode. One thing I notice is that when microwave is cooking, I am not able to access control for the lower oven. I may need to spend time to figure out how to make the two ovens work at the same time. Default defrost setting for 1 pound meat maybe too strong and it cooks the meat around the edge. Another thing is that my old 27" GE cutout is 1/4" smaller than this new model. So it is not a drop in replacement and we need to saw the cabinet and enlarge the cutout. But overall, we like this oven and will recommend to anyone.

I have a 27” double wall convection oven. It takes a long time to heat to 350 degrees. The digital display is not user friendly. The touchscreen icon for the timer is extremely close to lower oven icon. Over Thanksgiving, I accidentally turned off the lower oven several times when trying to set the timer. This could be resolved with a software update? Both lights for upper and lower oven are on one icon so if you only want to see the upper oven you get both. Anyone else store items on occasion in your lower oven you would prefer guests not see? This was a cheap move on GE and annoying. For this kind of money and technology, separate light options should be possible. My oven was installed missing one of the easy glide racks and GE sent me one no problem. The customer service person was helpful and received my timer and light suggestions pleasantly. I have used the air fryer (need to increase the temperature and cook longer but successful cooks), convection bake -recipes take the maximum amount of time, if not longer, but they bake evenly. Convection roast - evenly cooks but takes longer than expected time. I have verified the oven temperatures with a separate probe I have had exposed in the oven and I am happy to report both ovens are calibrated as expected. The ovens seem to cool off quickly and take a while to come back to temperature so you must be mindful of opening the door and checking doneness. I have concerns about the oven fan cooling quickly and meats that continue to cook with the oven turned off using residual heat to finish the cook. This oven is larger than my previous GE profile convection due to better insulation and the extra space is a definite plus. A large roaster pan that would not fit in 1998 model GE Profile will fit in this one. After almost 2 months of use, I am use to how it operates but the timer icon and both oven lights operating simultaneously remain irritating.

I did not give the oven 5 Stars because it takes so long to heat up. I was shocked how long it takes compared to my 23 year old GE Profile Oven I replaced. I timed it today and it took 15 minutes to get to 350 degrees. I love the WIFI, so i can turn the oven on to preheat before I leave my office, so it will be ready when i get home. I have talked with a friend that bought the model below mine a few months ago and she had the same complaint. Also, the bottom metal trim piece is much smaller than before and exposes the old color of cabinet that was hidden by previous oven. An installer told me I should have had two different trim pieces to select from with the GE Fit Guarantee.

Purchased the GE double oven a little over a month ago replacing another brand which I had several issues with over the ten years I had it. I did my own installation into a double oven cabinet. Had to change the electric connection from the lower left side to the top right for the GE. No big deal. Unit installed easily and i made sure it was level. I have used the oven numerous times and each time I have been impressed with its performance. First the oven is quiet. I can hardly hear the fans running. Secondly the temperature you set is exactly what you get. I’ve checked temperatures of each oven several times on bake, convection bake and roast, and air fry. Bingo, right on. I really like the air fry option for frozen fries and onion rings. Used the multi-rack option for baking batches of Christmas cookies all came out perfect. On convection roast used the temperature probe for a beef roast set at 135. Oven turned off at the desired probe temperature. The lights in the ovens are located well so they illuminate what you are cooking well and you can easily see it through the glass doors. Downloaded the app for the oven which allows you to turn on ovens remotely. Oven easily connected to my WiFi. App is user friendly and is a nice option. The only issue that I’ve experienced is removing and installing the racks. They are a little bit tricky at first but once you understand the procedure it’s no longer an issue. The main thing is be patient and done force the racks in of out. Overall I am very please with this ovens performance and the price point. I would have given it five star if it was for the rack issue.

Our old oven started to flake out, so we went to our favorite appliance store and shopped a range of brands. This GE stood out as a decent value, had good looks, and if I was going to buy new, it had to be "connected". I did my research and this oven had most of what we wanted, plus the (few) online reviews were favorable. A few days later, the oven was installed. "Alexa, ask Geneva to set the oven to 325". Sure, I can be lazy and the oven is right there. But if my hands are gooey, this makes it simpler and should stay cleaner (if I can get my wife to use Alexa ;). Or if I am upstairs and it's time to preheat, this is very convenient. I have yet to try some features but looking forward to the Air Fryer and Steam Clean. Likes - nice looking with a clean interface, easy to clean front panel, steam clean (haven't tried that yet), easy (enough) to setup connectivity, VERY quick preheat, slide out rack included in price. A few things that can be improved: daylight savings time support (I mean really, you already ask time zone and sync the clock to the internet); add your own recipe support - the ones that are built in are really limited (to be kind); offer an air fryer rack accessory like the "F" brand has; miss our old chicken and turkey mode (set by weight) but we'll get over that. No broiler pan included but we still have our old one and don't use it often. Racks are a little more difficult to slide in and out than our old brand oven.

This double oven replaced a lemon from another manufacturer, so my impressions a little skewed because of that experience, but I think anyone would fall in love with this oven. If the oven has hot spots, I haven't discovered them. It's a breeze to set, and that's coming from someone who didn't read the manual. It's intuitive enough that most users won't need to read about how to use it. I was afraid the top-lighting would make the rest of the oven dark, but in reality, the majority of the time I'm only using one rack and it's perfect. For me, the biggest pro is that it's quiet - quiet when heating up, quiet when cooking, and quiet when cooling down. I appreciate the prompts on my phone from the app, and you can turn the oven on and change the temperature using the app. The soft close doors take time to adjust to, but they are a huge improvement. After using it several times, I've found the camera isn't essential. It takes time to connect the app and the oven to stream the camera, and it's faster to look through the glass. There are a couple of cons. Because the racks are enameled so they can stay in the oven during self-cleaning (yay), you get 3 mini squeeze bottles of graphite lubricant for the parts that touch the sides of the oven. Because I haven't read the manual, I discovered when I tried to reposition a rack that the graphite is essential. The second con is the construction of the rolling rack. It takes about 1 1/2 inches of space under the rack, and it you want to use both racks, the one underneath is a bear to slide things on and off of. If you move the top rack up, it's not going to be centered in the oven, and if you're like me, you won't realize you need to adjust the racks before you preheat the oven. I had an oven before that had metal racks that slid into the sides of the oven and the racks glided on them. It was a pain to remove those side pieces when it was time to self clean, but I prefer that kind of rack system now that I've used the one in my new ovens. I looked at a lot of ovens, some twice the price, before deciding on this GE Profile. I am so glad I decided on it - in six weeks of heavy use I haven't had a second of buyer's remorse.

I ordered this from a reputable store. It took about 2 1/2 weeks to arrive. Was well packaged. Installation required trimming some of the wood in the cutout above the oven. The previous oven was a 30 year old 24" off brand. I had planned on installing a new junction box behind the oven. However, the instructions call for it to either be installed well above the oven or below it. I used the existing junction box below the oven. The oven should be placed on rails. If cabinet, instead, has a plywood floor the oven sits on a cutout must be made to allow for ventilation. Because of the electronic controls, ventilation is important. The electronic control/display is nice. After selecting desired temperature, the current temperature (starting at 100 degrees) displays in red on the left. The minimum selectable temperature is 170 degrees. The time displays in green on the right. Have not yet used the fancy features. The oven has a light bulb inside at the top right with a glass lens for protection. About the interior space: The usable rack width is about 16". The rack depth (front to back) is about 15 3/4" from front to the start of the bend in back. Because of the rack space limitations, we had to buy new, smaller cookie pans, pizza pans and roasting pan. When buying new bakeware, be aware that the pans' dimensions stated are PROBABLY the interior, usable measurements. Most such pans have handles or lips which can add two or more inches. The GE 24" oven is 2.7 cubic feet, compared to 3.1 cubic feet on a competing brand. While my old oven lasted 30 years before the replacement lower element became impossible to find, GE says the usual life of a wall oven is about 15 years. With the electronics, I wonder if it will last even that long. We are very happy with our new oven, so far.

So far the oven has performed well. It is easy to set up, except for one thing, which I will get to later. The temperature seems to be at or near the number that is used for what ever is being baked. It may be a little less but not enough to try an change it as of now, more time is needed for this observation. The oven is easy to clean, so far. There is one area that is a bit concerning. The selection buttons seem to be difficult to press, particularly the plus and minus buttons to determine the temperature you want to bake at. My wife, who has arthritis, was unable to depress the plus button to up the temperature. Otherwise the oven seems perfectly fine.It is attractive and shows off nicely.

Initially, we read a number of reviews on different sites and came down to this oven...and we have not been disappointed at all. Many reviews mentioned the noise of the venting fan but it is so minimal that it barely registers, and it DOES go off once your oven cools (about 5-10 minutes later if left closed). And pre-heat? Get ready because this heats up quickly, about 3x faster than our older Kenmore model. So for a quick summary, here are the pros and cons we've discovered since if you're like us, the choices for a 24" double wall over model in black are about 3 total (KitchenAid, Whirlpool and GE). PROS: Quick to heat, attractive, deeper than our older one in both upper and lower ovens (cookie sheets fit easily), easy to clean (so far), rounded oven handles (the KitchenAid model features towel-like handles that can easily ding a refrigerator door upon opening); larger viewing windows to peek inside. CONS: If your outlet is low, you'll need an additional install to move your box since the wiring is designed only for an upper plug (the upper "shelf" has a plateau to accomodate the wiring since the back oven "casing" goes flush against your back wall (there is no groove or provision for channeling the wiring down the back or side); the twist knob to operate the lower oven is a bit geeky but we quickly got over it; turn the oven light on and both ovens light up -- no separate controls; measure carefully as our opening cabinet slot needed to be widen about half an inch and this oven proved about 2 inches shorter than our Kenmore model (requiring an additional lower support and facia board). Bottom line, at this size your choices are few and while we hesitated a bit in choosing this model, we have been delighted. But this was NOT the easy slip-in-slip-out process we imagined and we were glad to have an installer available (which was likely due to slipping this new GE model into the slot of a 12-year older Kenmore model...cutout dimensions have changed in the past decade so measure carefully). All in all, a terrific replacement (as an added note: we tried everything to save our older one in replacing the elements and the sensor but the failure proved to be in the motherboard; test your temps with oven thermometers to see if you're getting an accurate heat from your older oven).

I bought this oven to replace the vintage wall oven in my rental house. The original oven finally gave up after coil replacement, and minor wire work. This handsome unit is solid, with simplistic function keys, display and surface material. All went well, thanks to easy installation, correct wires and great packaging. I would strongly recommend this unit to replacing/remodeling needs. Will keep watching for its performance in various cooking features. So far, the cleaning is easy, and the temperature control is logical, and the heating elements does its work. I did not read the spec before, but the unit is two inches wide and 5 inches height smaller that the original opening on wall. My contractor has to be creative to cut the wood materials come with package to fill the gap (still wait to be stained to match the closet) Overall, the unit is very satisfying with its European looks and functions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This handsome oven cooks very evenly and is certainly much more efficient than the 1963 Roper (gas) oven it replaced. Most important, it is one of the only two 24" in-wall ovens on the market, so I can't complain too much. But I'm knocking off one star for two reasons. First, the digital display seems pointless. I don't need another digital clock in the kitchen. Why not display temperature when the oven electronics clearly know it? Why not beep when a set temperature is reached? What is the point of the steaming chicken icon? It conveys no useful information. Why not change the icon depending on the oven mode set? My second complaint is as a new user I am having a hard time telling the difference between the functions/modes. What, for example, is the difference between Pie and Bake? Maybe the English version of the manual doesn't explain them very well? Some simple graphics in the Functions table, showing how heat is distributed in each mode, would be useful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our new unit works great except for the clock on the microwave. It stays on for about 2 minutes then goes off. I've been told it's a power saver mode but don't know why the one on the oven part stays on if that's the reason. I would love to find a way for it to display all the time & would be very thankful if anyone could help us out with this issue. The manual states that it will be displayed when the unit is off. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been in our new renovated kitchen about a month now with our new Bosch appliances. We love our 800 series Combination Oven. It's beautiful to look at and works well. We find we use the top Convection Oven (doubles as Microwave) nearly every day, especially as it is summer and we don't want to heat up the big oven. Would love it if there was a way for the rack to slide out to make it easier to get items in and out, but that might not be possible. The microwave doesn't seem to be as strong as our old regular microwave, but works fine and gets the job done. We've only used the large oven once and it works well. I was concerned with reviews which said that the lights were dim on the microwave/convection oven, however Bosch must have fixed that as it nearly matches the regular/lower oven, so looks like it's not an issue now. It does blow air out in your face when checking things in the oven as the vent is in the middle, so it would be better if it were at the bottom, but maybe all wall ovens are like that, I don't know as this is our first one. I do also have to stand on a ladder to wipe out the back of the unit as the door drops down instead of to the side like a regular microwave. I'm shorter however. We would definitely buy the unit again and are thrilled with the very high quality.

I love these sleek double wall ovens in my newly renovated kitchen. The features are wonderful and I couldn’t wish for anything more. The built in air fryer is great - I didn’t realize how much I would enjoy it. The first thing I tried to make was Buffalo wings and they turned out restaurant quality. I never would have purchased a free standing air fryer because I don’t like clutter and probably would not have used it. But built in to these beautiful ovens is genius. I love having an app to help manage the ovens. The interior is beautiful. Easy to keep clean. I love all the different cooking options, and of course, two ovens are so handy.

We totally gutted and rebuilt our kitchen.  Trying to minimize--hence not 5 or 6 small appliances on the counter.  One thing that sold us on the Advantium was that it could toast and would reduce our need for a toaster / oven and microwave et.al.  You get the drift.  The ONLY way this toasts is the same way my mother toasted a bagel or toast for me 70 years ago.  You broil it (essentially) and then turn it over to get the other side.  Was not interested in regressing the better part of a century.  There is no toast setting for light to dark so it's all just one major shot in the dark.  I'm sure I'll be happy with other functions, but not happy at all about shopping for a toaster after all of this.  Obviously, you not only need to do your research and look at reviews, you need to read instruction manuals, as well.
