Zew uses native species of bamboos in the regions where we work. Currently, Zew uses timber bamboo such as Bambusa barbatus and solid bamboo Dendrocalamus strictus. Both are harvested annually by local farmers from private lands, communities, and natural forests. Zew strictly adheres to internationally standardized treatment procedures in preparing their bamboo for production. These processes are proven to be non-toxic and environmentally sound and ensure a finished product that withstands the test of time. We strive to protect our environment by using eco-friendly, biodegradable, and sustainable natural bamboo to build our collections.
