The washer water valve from the ERP allows hot and cold water to flow into your washing machine. This part can become old or worn out, resulting in problems with water flow. Your water valve might have to be replaced if the washer is not filling properly or it is not filling at all, the 2 inlet parts are clear of obstruction but the water flow is still irregular or nonexistent, or the valve is leaking. Before ordering a replacement valve, check to make sure the inlet is not plugged. Unplug the washer and shut off the water valves. Use a bucket to catch any water in the hose when you disconnect it from the washer. Inspect the screens at the inlets of the valve. This is also a good time to inspect the hose to make sure it is in good condition as a hose burst could result in significant water damage to your home.
