Best Lab Stools With Reviews

I needed a chair that could do double service at our kitchen counter and at out dining table. This was the only one with the required range of heights. It does have some shortcomings for our need. At the high setting the casters made it tricky to gain a seat as the chair tended to roll back from under the person attempting to climb it. I solved the problem by separately purchasing "bell glides" to replace the wheels at the bottom of the legs. The seat is too slick, some padding would have been welcome; and a foot rest would have provided added comfort. A ALL these features are available in different models, but not all of them in the same chair. MY WISH: being able to order separately each component of the chair to form a customized unit.

This is a very nice stool. We had a bit of trouble with it. It's rated for 300 pounds. At 250, I wanted something that was rated well above that. After sitting on it for a couple of weeks one of the wheels came off! My husband was able to re-attach it but I hesitate to sit on it now. The aluminum seat is beautiful and moves up and down easily. But if you have on shorts, it's COLD! I'm short so even when it's at it's lowest setting it's very skitter-y. It moves away from you if you aren't paying attention and holding on to it as you sit down. It moves easily and I use it to move stuff around the house, raise it up and use it as a small work surface or extra table to hold stuff while crafting.

I fractured my tibial plateau and cannot put weight on my left leg for 8 weeks. This chair helped me get back to work earlier than I otherwise would have. For my job, I need to stand for prolonged periods a few days a week. Sitting on this chair at its full extension allowed me to maintain my height (6'1") with my legs falling to the side, not to get in the way if I needed to approach something

These Perch stools are really good quality - the vinyl is a little more slippery than I would like, but the rest of the chair is comparable to my $600 lab stools from Crown Seating.

I wanted a rolling stool for my kitchen . This met everything I needed. Heavy, great wheels, sturdy cushion. The adjustable foot rail is excellent. The quality of this stool is worth the difference in price from the lighter weight version this company sells.

Just what I needed, a stool that would rise to 28" to allow me to sit and work on my kitchen counters. I'm 82 years old and it's hard for me to stand in the kitchen very long, as I love to cook all types of dishes, from around the world. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was surprised at how attractive this stool is! The wood seat is a nice light tone. It’s very sturdy and comfortable to sit on. Right now, my son is using it at his Lego table to sit while he builds. He’s an active 6 year old, and I like that this stool is very sturdy and I don’t have to worry about it tipping over. It’s very easy to adjust the height and can be done with one hand. Although it’s not the intended use, I think this would make a really nice plant stand and I will be giving that a try this summer. Overall I am impressed at how attractive and well made this stool is! I also LOVED that it comes assembled and all I had to do was take it out of the box. It was wrapped so well so there were no issues with chipped paint, etc.

They come in 4 total and the best part is they are stackable which really helps save space in modern homes these days. They will be coming in absolute handy with my toddler and any events that we never have enough chairs. Thank you so much influenster for allowing me to review these modern chairs. I can’t wait to use them in my next family event. They are so stylish, perfect for home office or even any office buildings. I do wish they came with arm rest but still grateful for it. They also come with floor protector which is so amazing because they won’t leave scratches on the flooring. The weight is incredibly light that anyone can lift it from my daughter to my parents. I absolutely love them. The packaging was amazing, they were so protected and well packed. They were also assembled that I didn’t have to do any assembling. I’m so excited for these.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the stool for free from Influenster and the manufacturer for my honest opinion. The image of the stool matched the actual stool. The stool is sturdy and seem well constructed. The instructions for all models of NPS stools were included on one sheet, but were not needed for this stool. The stool has light padding on the top, though it would not be sufficient if you sit on the stool for extended periods of time. It seems a cushion could be added to make sitting more comfortable. The height was fine for me. (I am 5’6”).

I bought this chair for a show in Community Theatre that we are rehearsing for. The director put out a call for a chair that look something like this one. The picture he use was from another web-site and was well over $100.00 dollars and the shipping brought it to over $150.00. (Which was well over our small budget.) I purchased this chair for under $90,00 and there was 0 shipping. The Director was delighted with the chair and the Actor who sits in it for a long time, says that it's really comfortable. I will all ways check here before purchasing anywhere else. Pros: looks great and very comfortable Cons: none

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This short stool is incredibly sturdy and solid, and is a great basic utility stool. For $80, I was expecting nicer materials than a particle board top and powder coated steel, such as real wood and stainless steel. For this reason, I am deducting one star as I am worried about the long term durability of these materials with daily use. The stool came fully assembled and was packaged very safely. Overall, this is a nice little stool that can be used for a multitude of things, even as a step stool.

As we all know assembling a product has it's pitfalls. The drafting stool is well made and is sturdy. Who would have thought that the caps on the legs, (to be removed so as to insert the adjustable legs) and then be discarded would be a problem. It takes a certain amount of strength to remove them. After much sweating and frustration I took the edge of a flat screw driver, wedged it against tube leg and cap and took a heavy hammer and hammered in two strategic places....wallah! caps off. Another thing you must consider. In order to readjust the stool, a L-shaped winch is included. Do not lose this winch. In fact when done tape on the bottom seat of stool...you will need it every time you have to adjust the height. To me that is a pain in "you know what"!

Let's face it, the instruction's claim that this can be assembled by 2 people within 3 hrs is rather fanciful. More like 3 days! However it's still a great shed.The positives:1) The shed looks nice. Well far nicer than we expected. We went for metal (as opposed to wood or plastic) for the fact we could get a larger shed for cheaper, so we can fit all our bikes in. We were therefore initially prepared to compromise on the look so we were pleasantly surprised with the appearance.2) Size. Similar to the above the shed is fairly large and can easily fit in 4 or 5 bikes. It's just possible to stand in the middle but it's not the sort of shed you'd stay in for long anyway - more a storing kind of shed.3) Price. It's very good value for money when you start looking at the price of similarly sized wooden or plastic sheds.4) Security. This is an 'odd' one but again an unexpected benefit is that it's too noisy to steal from. We set up security cameras, padlocks, chains and so on then realised opening the sliding doors is so loud that you'll wake half the neighbourhood up if you choose to park your bike in there after around 7pm!The negatives:Only one really which is the construction. I'm sure this is mentioned countless times elsewhere in product reviews but if you've grown accustomed to IKEA assembly instructions you're not going to be happy. To cut a long story short the labelling of the various pieces with codes is fine but the illustrations are very poorly executed. Often it's impossible to decipher what piece goes where by looking at the diagrams and it becomes quicker to ignore the drawings and use trial and error. The total assembly time was around 12 hours over 3 days. Of course, some will be faster and, certainly some will be even slower than us.In conclusion-Fiddly pieces, very poor illustrations in the instructions and vastly more time needed to assemble than the 3 hrs they claim.Very nice look (in our opinion), secure due to the excessive noise when opening/closing which would surely put off any would-be thief (the noise could also be a disadvantage I suppose), good price and good size.Would we buy another one if we need more storage space? The short answer is yes.Would we pay someone else to build it if we could go back in time? Yes, definitely!

Definitely NOT a regular stool with a slightly molded seat... this is more akin to what sitting in a saddle is like, than just sitting on a stool...Unless you¡¯re in an exact pelvic-tilt-posture, I find that I¡¯m probably ¡°resting¡± a good part of my weight planted on my feet on the floor, while I sit in the saddle.MEN: I don¡¯t know that this would be a very comfortable chair for you.WOMEN:You deserve THIS chair.Despite the description, I do really like this stool... its seat is very well designed; the double stitching on the leather is obviously done with a high standard, and can wipe clean easily... the real chrome base is sturdy and built like something from the Pony Car era... right down to the details on the white wall casters!The hydraulic height adjustment is very good quality- the finger operated lever is a strong and heavier than other stools... the height options are great... I¡¯m 5¡¯4¡± and I would never need the tallest height... the lowest setting is lower than you¡¯d use at a vanity or table, so I think the range options are great!If you appreciate the finer details, this saddle stool has it covered...I usually use a ¡°knee chair¡±, but I thought I¡¯d give this a try at the bathroom vanity... it has way better wheels than any other stools I¡¯ve tried... and the seat swivels and adjusts heights, so I feel way more able to move position if I¡¯m blocking the walkway, or need to move to reach something... the old ¡°knee chair¡± never had the swivel option, and if I wanted to move out of the way, I had to push with my hands on the counter, or basically take my legs out of the kneeling to push around. (Things you don¡¯t think about until you¡¯re high centered on a towel, and try rocking yourself off the barricade before surrendering to finally having to stand up and move... I¡¯m looking forward to having my foot power back!)

I love my new Betsye stool. I was looking for a chair or stool that was a little taller than an ordinary chair, and this one is just perfect. I have a large computer screen, and this stool brings me up to the proper height. It is ideal for my purpose.

Sharp looking stool and pretty comfortable too. Wasn't too difficult to put together since it's really only 4 screws and then pushing other parts together until they click. The structure that holds the wheel casters is a plastic aluminum maybe which I would have preferred metal like the rest of the stool especially since I assume this area will have the most impact given that it's where you rest your feet. Time will tell if this holds up against day to day abuse but for now, it will do as it's been built to do

I ordered this chair for one of my medical offices and I am very pleased with my purchase! The packaging was great, and it arrived very fast. It is the ideal height and it’s very sturdy. I love having the back support which I don’t have with my other rolling stools. It only took me 10 minutes to put together which was really nice and the wheels roll very easily over the floor and do not get caught on the tile or even on carpet. I’m waiting for the white one to come back in stock so I can order it. This is also a great chair for someone who works on cars.  The packaging was great, and it arrived very fast.
