First of all, this bed is great. It is exactly what my 4 year old son wanted. It is also easy to put together. Everything was well labeled. Having said that, the description says that you need a box spring with it. There is no way to fit a box spring with a mattress with this bed. I didn't realize that when I ordered it.. Jennifer.
