This is our 2nd Zojirushi rice cooker and it's even better than the first! We only use it for white rice and have not tried the other settings. We don't prewash the rice, we just put it in and measure the water according to the directions and it cooks perfectly every time. I love the retractable plug. The best upgrade with the Neuro Fuzzy are the cool touch handles to pull the rice bowl out. With the old rice cooker we had to wear oven mitts.
