I am going to start with I love this rug, but this is not the rug I ordered. I ordered a textured ivory rug. Wayfair worked with me to resolve the issue. I returned the rug 2 times and the 3rd time I gave up. With that being said, I ordered the rug to put in my daughters room under the bed after we ripped up her carpeting and put down Pergo flooring. I told my daughter we were just keeping it and was still going in her room and when we completely unrolled it, she said she loved it. Regardless if I wanted ivory, this rug is still beautiful. It came well packed with several layers of heavy duty plastic ensuring that the rug was not damaged in transit. The quality of the rug is amazing and I have seen minimal shedding as opposed to other wool rugs we have. The backing is a soft fabric type and doesnt need a pad for my purpose because I have a bed holding it in place. I would recommend a pad if it doesnt have furniture on it to prevent slipping. I took off one star because this wasnt what I ordered, but I am still extremely satisfied with the rug. It is probably for the better since ivory would have gotten dirty over time and because of the color variation in the rug you will most likely never see any wear.
