This piece was beautiful from a few feet away. The size is narrower than outlined (the width may have been measured at the widest area) but it fit fine in the space I needed it for. The wood is nice and the flap door worked smoothly. However, the staining job was terrible: there are drops and dotted patterns of darker stains throughout as if someone just dropped stains from the brush and sponge and the flap door was at least two shades lighter than the rest of the unit so you can see the difference from far away. When you look closely, the quality of the job is not stellar...some small details can be seen unfinished. Also, the top part (crown molding like area) is not covered with wood so the pieces of wooden blocks that were used to nail the whole piece together can be seen from the stairs above. I think they should have put a thin panel to cover the top because it is ugly and it makes the piece look cheap and unfinished. Other than that, it came assembled and I am quite pleased with the overall look. comes assembled, real wood in most areas, great storage area, mission style makes it look more modern top part is not covered (ugly part exposed), bad finish, bad staining job.
