We installed this in our main bathroom. We mounted them facing up but may change to a down mount when we move back in. They were installed by our electrician so I cannot comment on the ease of installation. They did come with one small dent in one of them, but you cannot see it once they were installed. I like that they come with the opaque inner glass and the clear outer glass it gives it some extra charm. They were a little larger glass piece then I thought they would be but it worked out great.
