I saw a table very similar to this one in a interior design magazine, however this table top is very detailed. The rim is bezeled and the table top is not smooth, so not recommended for writingor homework. The table has a rustic, industrial look to it which is what I liked about it. It can also be turned into a bar top table by spinning the table top, of course you can lock it in place at the height you prefer as well. Im very satisfied with my dinning table.
