You will not have to seal it, stain it or worry about fading. The Amish carefully handcraft the chairs in Pennsylvania. There are no visible screws on the backrest of the chairs which gives you a completely authentic appearance. The pitch of the chair is perfect and you will enjoy every minute that you sit in them all season long.
