This is a rather big, beautiful light. The metal is a gold brushed color as described, however the shade itself is quite a bit darker than I had anticipated. It has almost a wicker type look to it, and is almost a light brown rather than an off white that I was expecting. So if you are wanting a more white appearing pendant I would pass on this one..
