I ordered the Ailine Maroon color, and even though the color on the website lighting makes it appear more red wine/burgundy colored, in person, in daylight, the color presents more like a reddish plum and the thread around the perimeter is more brown than maroon. Fortunately, it still goes with the rose-colored fabric of the chair I ordered, which presents as more of a mauve, so the two items still coordinate well together without matching! I got lucky. It's super thin, but since it's going in a sitting room off of my kitchen, I won't need a rug pad. It's very soft! It's a white polyester soft fuzzy fabric, that has a print sublimated over the top of the fabric, so if you run your finger over it and look closely you can tell the design is only on top of the rug and it's not a woven wool rug, but it's not apparent if not looking closely. Way less money than a wool rug would be, too, and easily machine washable, so it has its benefits. I'd definitely buy this rug again, and it fits all my needs and expectations as to the style and quality of rug I was hoping to receive for the price.
