This wall-mounted garage storage cabinet with 2 doors is finished in rich dark gray and maple laminates. This wall-mounted garage storage cabinet with 2 doors is finished in rich Dark Gray/Maple or Chantilly/Dark Grey. The cabinet includes two (2) doors featuring European-style concealed hinges and is embellished with large brushed metal handles. The concealed storage area offers ample space with 2 shelves and 1 adjustable shelf. This cabinet is just the right size to provide excellent storage. Constructed from manufactured wood laminated on both sides with durable melamine, which is stain, heat, and scratch-resistant,. The mounting hardware is included. Assembly is required.
The main reason I purchased these cabinets and shelving units (eight total pieces) was their dimensions fit my space perfectly. More than I wanted to spend for assemble-it-yourself cabinets, but they work. I would not put heavy items into any of the drawers, or inside shelves. It is made of particle board, but the bench tops and shelf bottoms are one inch thick. Pretty robust as particle board goes.
First, they are packaged very well. Of all eight cartons, only one packaged part had slight damage to it, which did not effect fit or finish.
Next, for the most part, all necessary assembly items are included. It would have been nice for the manufacturer to include a couple of spare cam locks and expander studs in the hardware packages of each item. The last shelve unit I assembled had a misformed cam lock that broke and one expander stud had no outside plastic on it. In addition the last shelf units rear dado that accepts the back panels was not cut properly I had to sand the back panels to fit into the dado and a bit of persuasion was necessary to get them to fit. I wound up gluing every end cut that butted another part as well as all dowels and expander studs just before tightening. I also reinforced a few bottom pieces of the upper shelve units with additional two inch sheet rock screws. I did not fully trust the expansion studs to hold that one inch thick bottom piece. So, as you can tell, I beefed up the assembly as I went along. The drawer slides and hinge hardware are of lower quality than you might find on nicer pre-made cabinetry, and their connection to the wood is provided with minimal screws (three on the each slide half and two screws on each hinge half) despite these parts having at least four receptor holes. Hence, my opinion of not overloading any of these cabinets' drawers. The base cabinet leveler feet only give about 3/4's of an inch of adjustment. I had to screw on 3/4" wood blocks to the corner cabinet feet to allow for the slope of my floor.
Next, the instructions are OK...but that is all I will say about them. More detail is always a plus. I chose twenty-four inches as the height above the base cabinets. Luckily, the wall I built was exactly 90º to the outside block wall of my shop area. Otherwise, the corner base and top cabinet would be VERY difficult to attach properly.
Lastly, as you can see, the storage cabinets look great. I took my time and went overboard on making them as strong as possible.. Anonymous. Thu Jun 08 2023
