Plus, it's stain- and fade-resistant, and it's safe to place on heated floors. Although it comes with a cotton backing, we recommend adding a rug pad underneath to keep it in place.

I searched for a long time to find a rug for our living room because I had very specific criteria. I wanted really thick, extra large (hard to find), non-toxic, mostly natural materials, soft/plush and the color had to blend with my decor and wood tones in the living room plus it needed to not show dirt so, blended neutral colors. It’s hard to find all that especially online. When I finally pulled the trigger I just hoped it would work and it did. My grandkids love playing and laying in the living room so the trendy super thin washable rugs were out of the question and I like plush. The color works well and has a lot of variations depending on the direction the shag is lying and the way the light hits it. It’s called taupe but, overall it’s creamy/beige/taupe/wheat.
