This chair is quite comfortable, even for larger people. It seat and the back are contoured and and supportive padding. The adjustable pillow works well for lumbar support or a pillow. It reclines nearly flat and is pretty comfy to lie back in. The foot rest, understandably, doesn’t do much if you’re over 5’7”. I am 5’9” and it hits mid calf. It offers some support when reclining but not for taller people. I got this for my son who is 6’5”, 280 lbs. the seat back height works well, as well as the length and width of the seat.
