Very sturdy ,the music feature is a plus. I cant use a skirt due to the extension cord for lights needing room to move.I think I solved the problem by ordering a " tree collar",which I've noticed is also being used these days. It's a clean uncluttered look that surrounds the tree stand base, yet leaves open space for the movement of the wires out of sight. This tree stand is amazing - best I’ve ever had. It’s sturdy and so easy to put your tree in - ours was up in 5 minutes. The tree stand has a spike in the middle, you simply center your tree on it and use the foot lever to tighten it down. It was straight - no messing around with those ridiculous screws. I love it!
