Absolutely perfect for my needs. We now own 5 of these gates which we use to keep our dog restricted to certain areas of the house. The features we like best are that you can install it on either side of the doorway, the gate swings both ways, and you can install it above the floor, if desired. This works out perfectly for our cats, who are able to slip under the gate (mounted 6 inches above the floor). The dogs are not able to follow.
