The cross beam was split on one of the bar stools when we received it. I didn't bother trying to return it due to the inconvenience. My husband was able to glue it with some wood glue and placed a screw to hold it together. It is on the inside, so it really isn't too visible. I think after I add some paint it won't even be all that noticeable. I am a little disappointing because of the price I paid, but the chairs are absolutely beautiful and comfortable.
