This was shocking for a "you build" piece. It is quite sturdy! I have had it for a couple of years now and it has held up beautifully. I don't have a coat closet, so this has been Perfect for coats & the dog leash. I love the cubbies on top. I got a couple of cute baskets that fit and I can stash pet wipes & baggies, etc. And the swing down bottom is perfect for keeping my shoes.
