The color and pile are exactly as described. It is soft to the touch and fits in my space as I expected. The only drawback is it did take nearly a week to remove the lines and lumps of the carpet from the way it was shipped. Gazni wool is from sheep that live in the mountainous area of Afghanistan that borders northern Pakistan. It is a thick yarn with a high content of lanolin resulting in a sturdy yet soft texture. Placed in a wide variety of room settings they will bring a sumptuous look and feel to the area.
