I purchased the round version of this for my dining, and thought it would give some nice whimsy to the room. I was worried it might be too bright but the color are paler than they appear on my computer which was perfect and looks great with the hardwood. Extremely well made and plush. I like having a runner in my kitchen prep area. This rug is very thick, good quality. The color matches the room vibe. It was on sale (yay), and the delivery was fast. It came doubled in heavy plastic, very well protected. There are no imperfections. The background color is brown, the other colors are gold, tan, blue, and red; however, they are muted colors, e.g., not bright. I am very pleased with the quality, appearance, price.
