I needed a heavy duty fold down sofa that would hold up to everyday wear and tear. This sofa has very rugged material. It’s basically a very firm mattress. It almost reminds me of a long school bus seat. The springs are very firm and a bit bouncy. Definitely not the most visually appealing but I think this will hold up very well, especially for it costing under $1,000. The arm rests do not feel very secure. You will not be able to move the couch using the arms, but it can be used without the arms on it if need be. My husband slept on it last night with the puppy and he said it was very comfortable. I will say, he prefers very firm mattresses due to back surgery he had years ago. The material is stapled in the back (see pic).
