I was generous with a 4. But, in certain instances I could see how it would be perfect. It is very small, so did not work in our entry way. Additionally, it is very country white. It was too unassuming for our entryway, so I put it against a wall in our living room, which is a way better use. So, if you have a SUPER small entryway, this works.
