This is a nice piece of furniture for the price. It is solid wood, but it's bamboo and not hardwood so some of the pieces (sides, back) do appear to be veneer over particleboard, but it's just thinner sheets of bamboo. Unfortunately we had to contact the manufacturer to get a missing part, which took over a week, but their customer service was good.
