The Vine Collection

Holding a gnarled limb in its contemporary grasp, the sleek black iron stand balancing the Vine sculpture creates our favorite juxtaposition, combining modern and organic. We harvest the pieces of wood that end up on these sculptures from the jungles of Asia, using as many pieces of each tree we pull from the forest floor as possible. The Vine sculpture is proof that there is beauty to be made, even with elements most people would see as castaways.

Ribbons of twisting wood have been mainstays in garden-room settings for centuries. With the Vine Large Decorative Ball, we’ve taken the ornamental garden accessory out of the glasshouse and made it apropos of any room in the finely designed home. We also offer the Vine in a smaller size. Though a grandly-sized table can handle them, they are large enough to be commanding floor sculptures with an elemental feel. Both sizes reflect the ethos that the Phillips Collection personifies: modern organic. This piece is crafted from natural solid wood. Color and texture in wood will vary and natural holes and subtle openings add unique character to your piece. Wood breathes and it is normal for cracks to present themselves over time. This is not considered a defect.
